Does a general dentist know as much as a specialist?
Yes, a general dentist receives the same education as a specialist. The difference is that someone entering a specialty receives additional education in that specialty. The rest of the educational format is the same as a general dentist.
Are general dentists cheaper?
Not necessarily. It depends on the procedure done more than it depends on the dentist title. Prices also vary by area and what benefits your insurance covers.
Do general dentists always have a hygienist?
