We at Versante Dental use local anaesthesia and sedation during implant surgeries so pain is minimized. There may be moderate discomfort after surgery until the gum heals.
How much time does it take for gums to heal after surgery?
Initial healing takes around two weeks, but complete healing and fusion with the jawbone take three to six months.
What do you do about the posts while my gums heal?
We insert a temporary denture to cover the posts.
How long will my implant-supported dentures last?
They will last at least 10 to 15 years, but many last a lifetime.
